This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our application.

The content on the Service includes books, graphics, photos, text and other materials whether provided by you, Linga.io or a third-party (collectively, "Content”).
Content is the responsibility of the person or entity that provides it to the Service. Linga.io is under no obligation to host or serve Content. If you see any Content you believe does not comply with this Agreement, including by violating the law, you can report it to us.
You may access and use the Service as made available to you, as long as you comply with this Agreement and applicable law. You may view Content for your personal, non-commercial use.
The following restrictions apply to your use of the Service. You are not allowed to:
Using the Service does not give you ownership of or rights to any aspect of the Service, including user names or any other Content posted by others or Linga.io.
We may collect information, such as Your name and email address that You provide us with (via email or by other means) to obtain customer support services or for other purposes of communication that You initiate. We also collect information You provide: on your native language, purposes of App use, English level and preferences as regards learning process, such as your preferred time frame, favourite topics, genders etc.
We may also collect information that does not directly identify You, as listed below.
Information collected automatically
We may share Your information with third parties that perform certain services on our behalf, such as our authorized service providers or analytics providers. In general, the third-party providers engaged by us will only collect, use and disclose Your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us, e.g. facilitating our Service and analyzing how our Service is used. Please note that they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

1. Smartlook
We use Smartlook for analytics purposes, specifically for research and analysis of users’ interaction with the Application.
Smartlook helps us to understand, in particular, how users find our App (for example, which advertiser served an ad that led You to our App in application store). Smartlook also provides us with different analytics tools that enable us to research and analyze Your use of the Service.

We use Hetzner Cloud Services, which is a hosting and backend service provided by Hetzner, for data hosting and enabling our Application to operate and be distributed to its users. To interact with our backend service we use: https://api.linga.io

We use Amplitude for analytics and customer support purposes, specifically to understand how customers use our App.
As for analytics purposes, Amplitude helps us to understand, in particular, how users find our App (for example, which advertiser had delivered an ad that led You to our App in the App store). Amplitude also provides us with different analytics tools that enable us to research and analyze Your use of the Service, which helps us to decide what Application features we should focus on.
As for customer support purposes, Amplitude helps us to respond to Your requests for technical support. For example, it enables us to track Your interaction with our App and in order to detect particular technical issues with the App.

Sentry is an error tracking service, which helps us understand errors that occur in App, analyze, and improve our Application for You.

International data transfers
Please note that our business is global, so when You provide Your information through our Service, the information may be sent to servers located in different countries around the world.
If You reside in the European Economic Area, please note that we take all adequate security measures to provide suitable safeguards due to data transfer to third countries. Our sub-processors located in such countries are also bound by respective data transfer agreements between them and us to provide all available legal security measures in regard to data privacy. Subject to applicable law, we may charge for this service and will respond to reasonable requests as soon as practicable, and in any event, within the time limits prescribed by law.

If you choose to upload Content, you must not submit to the Service any Content that does not comply with this Agreement or the law. For example, the Content you submit must not include third-party intellectual property (such as copyrighted material) unless you have permission from that party or are otherwise legally entitled to do so. You are legally responsible for the Content you submit to the Service. We may use automated systems that analyze your Content to help detect infringement and abuse, such as spam, malware, and illegal content.
You retain ownership rights in your Content. However, we do require you to grant certain rights to Linga.io as described below.
By providing Content to the Service, you grant to Linga.io a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use that Content (including to reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works, display and perform it) in connection with the Service and Linga.io (and its successors' and Affiliates') business, including for the purpose of redistributing part or all of the Service. The Content provided to the Service will be maintained in strict confidentiality and not be made accessible to other users.
The licenses granted by you continue for a commercially reasonable period of time after you remove or delete your Content from the Service. You understand and agree, however, that Linga.io may retain, but not display, distribute, or perform, server copies of your content that have been removed or deleted.
You may remove your Content from the Service at any time. You must remove your Content if you no longer have the rights required by these terms.
If we reasonably believe that any Content is in breach of this Agreement or may cause harm to Linga.io, our users, or third parties, we may remove or take down that Content in our discretion. We will notify you with the reason for our action unless we reasonably believe that to do so:
(a) would breach the law or the direction of a legal enforcement authority or would otherwise risk legal liability for Linga.io or our Affiliates;
(b) would compromise an investigation or the integrity or operation of the Service; or
(c) would cause harm to any user, other third party, Linga.io or our Affiliates.
If you believe your copyright has been infringed on the Service, please send us a notice.
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement according to the current Terms & Conditions. Linga.io's policies provide for the termination, inappropriate circumstances, or repeat infringers’ access to the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. In that case all your data will be removed in a reasonable time automatically.
The are known cases when your access to the Service could be restricted:
(a) you materially or repeatedly breach this Agreement;
(b) we are required to do so to comply with a legal requirement or a court order; or
(c) we believe there has been conduct that creates (or could create) liability or harm to any user, other third party, Linga.io or our Affiliates.
Linga.io may terminate your access to all or part of the Service if Linga.io believes, in its sole discretion, that provision of the Service to you is no longer commercially viable.
We will notify you with the reason for termination or suspension by Linga.io unless we reasonably believe that to do so:
(a) would violate the law or the direction of a legal enforcement authority, or would otherwise risk legal liability for Linga.io or our Affiliates;
(b) would compromise an investigation or the integrity or operation of the Service; or
(c) would cause harm to any user, other third party, Linga.io or our Affiliates.
Other than as expressly stated in this agreement or as required by law, the service is provided “as is” and Linga.io does not make any specific commitments or warranties about the service. for example, we don’t make any warranties about:
(a) the content provided through the service;
(b) the specific features of the service, or its accuracy, reliability, availability, or ability to meet your needs; or
(c) that any content you submit will be accessible on the service.
Except as required by applicable law, Linga.io, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents will not be responsible for any loss of profits, revenues, business opportunities, goodwill, or anticipated savings; loss or corruption of data; indirect or consequential loss; punitive damages caused by:
This provision applies to any claim, regardless of whether the claim asserted is based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Therefore, You are advised to check our Service occasionally to inform Yourself of any changes. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page. Your continued use of the Application after changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted will constitute Your acceptance of such changes.
